If it’s Windows95 onwards, hit alt-ctrl-del and you get a popup… one of those buttons is ‘change password’

Alternatively, go into control panel and find users section… as a normal user you can change your own password, as an admin user you can change anyones password.

on my laptop if i minimize (the little _ at the top corner) and right click my background and hit personalize (on your laptop it may be properties). its either in personalize or control panel.

you have to give more information but i will give you the general solution. if you want to change the password in windows, go to the user settings. in xp it is in the control panel. in vista and 7 it is much easier – just click your profile picture at the start menu. in the user setting, there should be an option to change password along side change picture and account type option.

if you want to change the bios password, you have to enter the bios menu immediately after you switch on the computer. most computers require you to press Del button to enter bios. browse through the tabs and options to find the option to change the bios password. it must be there somewhere. happy trying and happy new year to you too.
