you usually just go top to bottom. what song are you playing? i can be more specific. for some reason i have this feeling youre playing time of your life, but I’m probably wrong.
Learn to read tabs. Find a tab and it’ll help. Tabs are simple. The six lines are the strings and the numbers are the frets your fingers are one. You just have to finger our what finger to use and it’ll tell you the order to pluck.Answer by daydreamer113
Hey! I love “Halfway Home” by Jason Mraz! 😀
You’d know what order to fingerpick the strings if you read the tab for a certain song. But for now, the three bass strings (6th, 5th, and 4th) are played with your thumb while the three treble strings (3rd, 2nd, and 1st) are played with your index, middle, and ring. Your index picks the 3rd string; middle picks the 2nd, and ring picks the 1st.

When covering another song:
The first thing you have to do is search for tabs on any search engine. Once you have searched for tabs then it should show you note by note or chord by chord on what to play.
When wrighting your on music:
Its all in how you feel like doing it, depends on your mood. When i play i some times create a pattern. Maybe a specific order using chords in a progression. I like to use “Am” “F7” “C” “G”. My personal favorite, but its all how you wanna wright it and what feel you want.
Good luck!
