Aren’t all employees supposed to smile at customers?Answer by Carl
If you live in America than that’s probably the case… good customer service. The waiters, waitresses often smile at you. They seem to put extra effort in in the restaurants, “Hi my names x and I will be your waiter/ waitress to day… how can I help you… FAKE SMILE”.
In contrast where I live, England, the waiters and waitresses seem to be a bit more ( whats the word ) realistic. It’s like approaching someone in the street. They don’t neccisarily put a smile on… or try to seem like they’re put on an extra effort for you. It’s not an act. It’s not pretentious. It’s based on their character. I’ve even been spoke to rudely by waiters because of their character – but this doesn’t happen very often.
The question is, is it to do with the customer service – why they smile or the way you look? And my answer is I’m not sure. I need more background.
