In geometry, we learnt about this ribbon that was twisted in a shape of…a butterfly? The two ends of the ribbon were connected, kind of like twisting a rubber band once. It can transfer you from one side of the ribbon to the other side if you walk along it. Who incented this ribbon? And what is this ribbon called?

it is a flat ribbon that is joined after giving a half twist

that way you go along one side then switch to the other side without interuption
