123.: geometry!!!?
In isosceles triangle (triangle ABC), B is the vertex. The measure of angle B can be represented as (8x+2). The measure of angle A can be represented as (9x-2). Find the measure of all three angles of the triangle.

angle A=C=9x-2,angle B=8x+2
A+B+C=180
9x-2+9x-2+8x+2=180
x=7
A=61=C,B=58
since ABC is an isosceles triangle with vertex B, angles A and C are congruent/equal.
Also we know that the sum of all the interior angles of a triangle equal 180.
so: angle A + angle B + angle C = 180
and as said, angle A = angle C
so, if we substitute with the given values,
(9x-2) + (8x+2) + (9x-2) = 180
26x – 2 = 180
26x = 182
x = 7
then substitute again 7.
so,
A = C
= 9x – 2
= 9(7) – 2
= 63 – 2
= 61
and
B
= 8x + 2
= 8(7) + 2
= 56 + 2
= 58
therefore the measures of A, B and C are 61, 58, 61 respectively. 🙂
goodluck!
