I know a lot of guys are really protective of younger sisters, especially against those who are in a relationship with them. But I was wondering if those feelings also apply to older sisters. I’ve been really interested in my buddy’s older sister (only about a year older) for several years, but never made a move because generally friends’ sisters are out of bounds. Wanted to get some opinions on how guys feel about their friends dating their older sister.

If both of you are interested, it’s fine. Go for it. The drawback being, if she rejects you or if the relationship doesn’t work out, you probably lose your buddy too
