Rachel: For those who did the Santa thing growing up. What are your feelings now as a grown up?
Do you wish your parents hadn’t done the Santa thing? Do you wish you had been told earlier? What age do you think you should have been told? Did you find out from school mates and got teased and are mad at your parents because of it. What are your thoughts?

I am not mad at the Santa thing. A kid needs to be a kid. An adult needs to be an adult. As an adult, I am glad that I was able to be a kid and believe that Santa was real. Now I am older, I am glad I am wise enough to understand that Santa is not real.
I wish I never would of found out. Christmas was just so much more magical when I truely belived in Santa , I still believe in magic though , very much .
I found out when i was maybe 11 .Answer by Maureen P
I agree. You need to be a kid for a time, there will be plenty of time to be an adult. I found out on my own about Santa when I was about 7-8, and I wasn’t mad. Most of my classmates had already known. I wouldn’t be mad at my parents about it. Chances are you will do exactly the same when you have children.Answer by Olivia
I am very thankful that my parents did the “santa thing.” Christmas was so much more fun and exciting when there was a Santa. I still believe that Christmas is a wonderful and magical time of the year but I do Truly and honestly wish there was a Santa Clause. It may sound silly but how wonderful would that be : )
Merry Christmas to you
Answer by kgwI honestly don’t recall when I found out he wasn’t real, but I never remember anyone being teased because of it.
All I can say is that I cannot wait to have kids and share the Santa magic with them also.
Answer by Full of IdBelieving in Santa never caused any issues for me as a child…nor has finding out that he does not exist caused any issues for me as an adult.
As I grew older and wiser, I pretty much figured out that a fat man in a red suit could not possibly deliver gifts to all children all over the world. And that was that – no harm done. But I am thankful for those years that I did believe in this wonderful man who brought so many smiles to children across the world. And I will relish in the smiles from my children when they grow up sitting on Santa’s lap every year.
Answer by Stephanie RIt was so much fun to believe in Santa! I’m so glad my parents did Santa! I don’t remember exactly when I found out, but I know I was pretty young. I was never teased about it and never teased anyone else who still believed even after I knew. It’s just something fun to look forward to. I never looked at it as a lie, just that my parents were carrying on a tradition that St. Nick started and making it a little more magical. It’s just fantasy. Like any Disney Princess Story that a lot of little girls believe are real. To a little kid, most fictional stories seem real, why not let them believe in Santa too?Answer by Rose
Certain things make people very happy. Some times people crave on certain imaginary things and expect that they must come true. There are legends that God had done certain unbelievable things to save His men or women when they were in trouble. Most of them, I think, individuals. Even if it was for people He had done them through some individuals. This Santa thing is different. I don’t know how far God can take interest to make it into true. Santa is never existing one. People should not lost their minds in any thing at any circumstances and get themselves in unwanted worry.
