i dont know how to make it look cool. i just got it today so im not used to how it works…im used to myspace. cam someone tell me how do update my profile and how to tlak to people, things like that?

you can’t really make facebook look cool.
facebook is like a pc,
myspace is like the mac.

just go to ‘edit profile’ at the top and you can edit all your info.
you can start adding applications that will help make it more you! :]

Not much personalization is available on Facebook. However, once you get used to it, the only thing you’ll miss about Myspace is the music.

As far as talking to people, once you join a network (by high school, college, location, business, etc.) you are able to view other people’s profiles who are in that network (depending on their privacy settings). Other than your network, everyone else’s profile will be private and, like Myspace, you will only be able to “Facebook stalk” them if they accept your friend request.

“Poking” is just a notification that your friends are thinking of you. You can “poke” a friend (or anyone for that matter) by following the link in their profile. They will receive a notification on their main screen saying “You have been poked by ______” and an option to “poke back” or “ignore.”

Any pictures that you upload, you can “tag” yourself in them (a feature Myspace has just added…I think?) and they’ll appear in your main photos page…and you can “tag” your friends.

Just a few things I didn’t know when I was starting with Facebook…hope they help.
