Ever get a LinkedIn invite after going on a job interview? Do you think it is a good sign if the head of the department you interviewed with sends you a invite to connect to her via Linkedin?

Yes. It leaves you with a funny feeling. If you don’t accept, you wonder if you will not get the job. If you do accept, you are only joining in order to get this job. The interviewer should have explained to you that she was going to do this. Very unfair to spring a surprise on someone who really wants a job.
You almost have to accept.
