I built one of these many years back. If its the same device, here what you do.
There are two parts to this. The first is a battery with the two lights in a series circuit leading to two bare wire ends ( where the nails go.
Looks like this:
Nail———–Light ———Battery ———Light———-Nail
The second part is the questions and answers.
Make a grid of questions on one side of a box then put the answers on the other side: Like this:
Question 1 Answer 1
Question 2 Answer 2
Question 3 Answer 3
Question N Answer N
The questions and answers can be arranged in any configuration ( One column, two column, etc.) And the answers should not be in the same order as the questions.
Put a nail thru the top on the box next to each question and answer, and then run a wire between the question and the answer. Do this on the underside on the top surface so that the user can not see the wires. All that they will see is the questions, the answers, and the nail heads next to them.
Now put the first circuit inside the box ( battery ) put the lights through the cover so they can be seen, and then run the wires with the nails thru the top also.
Now someone using the box will have the two wire ends. They put one wire on the question, and the other wire on what they think is the answer. If they are right, the wire connecting the question to the answer will complete the circuit and the light will go on. If they are wrong, the circuit will not be closed and the light will stay off.
I built mine in a shoe box, but you can use any enclosure to hold the parts.
Good luck, once you see it, it is fairly simple to build.
