[email protected]: Why does Easter fall on different days and months of the year?
I believed that Easter is the Celebration of Jesus rising up from the cross. Why can’t they pin point the exact date of this occurance and call it Easter?

Mostly because of this thing called “leap year”. And also because of the moon. I’m SERIOUS! Check it out in my source spot!

its on the first sunday of april.Answer by TickleMeGordo
It’s because Easter Sunday is related to Passover. Passover is a holiday on the Jewish moon-based calendar, so the exact date varies from year to year. I believe there’s a 13-year cycle of the dates, but when leap years are factored in, then it changes by a day every so often.Answer by M_Benson_98_98

It’s because of the moon phases, the seasonal variances brought on by leap years, and by the way, they can’t pinpoint the day because it’s a myth. You cannot raise someone from the dead. I tried. Notice not one witness saw him alive, they all think they might have. Do you think that because christmas is the same day every year that they pinpointed the exact day of christ’s birth? Maybe you should start questioning the information you have been given, and the source.Answer by dolaindeed

Because he had to fall on a sundayAnswer by islandbunny
Easter is actually a pagan tradition absorbed by Catholics and eventually the rest of christendom. As in the old days before it was tied into the concept of Jesus being raised from the dead it was calucated according to the moon. Seriously!!!! The only difference is now it the church calculating it instead of pagans.
