answer: No, it does not. There are a small number of ultra-Orthodox that have interpreted the prophecies to mean that the Jewish Messiah must have a hand in re-establishing Israel.

That is not the majority interpretation, in fact, that’s not the interpretation of generations of Jews.

The prophecy is that the Jewish Messiah will help rebuild the Temple (which has a mosque on the site and Israel protects religious sites, even those on top of our sacred site).

Israelis, whether Jewish from the tribe of Judah, or any of the other 11 tribes, do not want to create a country of their own because they were given a land for their inheritance in Palestine. God gave that land to Abraham and his seed after him for an everlasting inheritance. Therefore, they feel no need for a new land. All they have to do is secure the land they were already given. Thus, the ongoing conflict.
Abraham bought land in Palestine. Jacob, or Israel, left Palestine for Egypt during the drought. Four hundred years later, Moses brought Israel back to Palestine. The conflict has been ongoing ever since. The irony is that many of the Palestinians and their Arabic allies are also children of Abraham from his other wives and children, other than Isaac and Jacob.

The entire reason we exist is to follow the mitzvot. Most of the mitzvot MUST be done IN Jerusalem.

It does not, but some small Jewish sects may have that idea. (( percent of Jewsworldwwide are proud Zionists!!
