Lasata: Do you really believe women when they say they got breast implants “for me”? I think that is only part of it
a small part. Most women would not even think of getting implants if it weren’t for the pressure society puts on them. I have this book called Stacked and in it there is this interview with a plastic surgeon who says that women really do it for men. I know its just one doctor’s experience but I think it can speak for many of them.

It is for them, the attention and perks that come with a nice “rack” ultimately benefit her.
I think you may be right. I knew a woman online who had them, and since she couldn’t exactly show them all the time in a discussion forum, she just kept talking about them. If she wasn’t blatantly flirting (even though she claimed to be married to the “perfect guy”) she was talking about her breasts.
It got very tiresome.
Answer by MariyanaI always had 75C. Never make implants! It’s bad for health!
Who rate me down? I believe that men prefer naturally!Answer by Sunflowergirl
No of course they didn’t get their stupid fake boobs for themselves. Women with fake boobs are simply openly stating to the world that they had very low self-esteem and wished they were sexy.Answer by Dawn H
i think if your flat chested you sometimes dont ‘feel like a woman’ and by getting the breasts it makes them feel more feminine and beautiful and motherly.i dont know tho lolAnswer by Melimar
No, I don’t.
My friend just got one, and I told her over and over she didn’t need it. She’s freaking gorgeous and got hit on all the time prior, so I can only imagine what it will be like when we get together this week for Happy Hour.
She claimed she always wanted them done, and I’ve had another friend do it because of the change after childbirth (which I understand).
I’ve thought about it before too, but I don’t think it would make me feel any more secure with myself than I feel now. I guess I really don’t want that kind of attention.
Answer by Just BreatheWhen they say “I got them for me” what they’re really saying is I got them for the attention they’ll get me.
In all fairness though, my roommate got them (we were 26)…but she literally had no breast tissue..she had the body of a 12 year old boy…and she only got B cup implants…she just wanted enough to fill clothes out properly (plunge necklines, ect). In that case, I think it’s more than just cosmetic need…her morale really took a beating sometimes because ‘adult’ clothes just didn’t fit her.
Answer by Rio MadeiraMaybe some women get them primarily for themselves, but I seriously doubt that you’d find a woman with implants who wasn’t at least a little concerned with what men thought.Answer by Justaguy
I know some women who had very small breasts and got small implants so that they would look less like a boy in the chest, and so that clothes would fit better. The implants do not get them extra attention from men, so I don’t think they did it for men. I think they did it for themselves.Answer by The Muse
They speak loudly of a blatant lack of self-esteem.

Under most circumstances, no, not at all…
As others have stated, the only way its done “for them” is when they get extra attention from men.
There are exceptions tho – for instance if it is more of a corrective surgery (for lopsided breasts or for women who lose their figure after childbirth), I do believe that women do get the implants for them. However, when it is just an augmentation, I do not believe that women do it for themselves other than doing it to get more attention.
Answer by Concerned CitizenThe “for me” part is so she will feel better about herself, because she will receive more attention and be treated better by the male half of society. Women who feel sexy usually receive a good amount of attention from men.Answer by Killian
Of course women do it for men.
I don’t see how it’s not obvious really, yeah sure they do it for themselves so they get more attention from men.
It’s pretty pathetic.
