Lee: Do I need to pay to make a motel room reservation over the phone?
So I’m calling a motel to make a reservation for my 5 weeks stay but will I be charged anything over the phone? ill they need my credit card number? What if when the reservation date is due and I decided not to stay, will I be charged anything?

Yes you will need a credit card to reserve a room at most hotels, each hotel has it’s own policy as far as how late you can cancel a room without having to pay for at least one day.
they will need a credit card to hold any reservation – it won’t get charged until the day you use the hotel – but you better find out about their cancellation policies also – you might not be able to get a refund for any reason if you have to cancel or you might have to give a certain amount of notice to avoid cancellation chargesAnswer by Landlord
Yes you need to give them a CC number and they will reserve, not charge, their share on the card.
If you flake out you only owe one nights stay.
