: What is the difference between a motorcycle club and a motorcycle riding club?
Apart form the fact that motorcycle clubs have MC on their vest and riding clubs have RC on their vest they are both the same thing so why do motorcycle clubs want to fight you if you have MC on your back

It all boils down to power and tradition. Power to control what happens in their area and the tradition of. defending their area and business’ from any other marauding clubs.
One is about a club from the get go, the other is about riding…..maybe if you are lucky.
Most organizations start out being about something, God, freedom and liberty, motorcycle riding, horses, and then people who are more into status in organizations are attracted to leadership roles and soon the organization is no longer about what it is supposed to be about at all. Just all about internal politics and ‘tempest in a teapot’ organizational drama and power plays.
Best to not join anything and just go ride with your friends, if riding is what you are into.
And then there is organized crime…. low rent Sopranos on two wheels who call themselves a motorcycle club.
Answer by Dan HNothing, really. A riding club may have been called that originally do distinguish itself from clubs that seem to just get together for breakfast or lunch, but never really go riding.
Anymore, I’ll join a club for a few months to identify new riding partners, then go riding separately from them and quit the club. I don’t need the drama that clubs have and I hate group riding.
Answer by ScooterA MC. is something you have to be invited into, then have to earn your patch. A RC, is something you just have to pay, to get in. Most MC. don’t want to fight with you. It’s only the 1% MCs that will do so, only if you infringe on their territory.Answer by nbr660
1% have their patch on their backs, riding club has their patch on front
