Price. If you are with that many people you have to make sure that they keepp the place in order. Especially if you are renting private party. You mess up someones house, they will prob sue you.
One is an apartment and one is a house.Answer by Wonder
With a house you usually have to do the yard maintenance. If do don’t want to do that, make sure a gardener is included in the lease.

Answer by GGrenting an apt is more drama with 4 or 5 people. more drama because of the other tenants plus with an apt, the landlord or leasing agents tend to “stop by” more often for stuff like the exterminator, tenant complaints, apt walk through BUT with a house, you have more peace of mind, no surrounding tenants and te owner or manager of the house will not come by unless tehyre picking up rent and most likely you will have dropped it off already. GO WITH THE HOUSE!Answer by Deb W
The main difference (besides the fact that a house may cost you more per month – at least it does here in California) is that when houses are sold, more often than not the tenants have to leave. This has happend to many of our friends who rent houses.
With apartments, the majority of the time, tenants are part of the package, so if an owner wishes to sell the building, their tenancy is more secure (providing that they pay their rent on time).
Answer by Detroit Tigers~ WS Bound 2007!A house usually gives you more space…granted it’s more money but with that many people you NEED lots of space. Not to mention most houses you rent allow pets due to the fact that they have a yard. A backyard is nice for BBQ’s and who don’t need a garage for storage? Another variable is with an apartment you usually don’t have to pay the heat & water where as with a house you do. Also a yard =’s the need for lawn equipment and time for maintenance. Out weight your options and go with what truly fits your needs the best.Answer by LittleBarb
Apartment= neighbors 12 inches below you, 12 inches above your ceiling, 12 inches to the left of you and 12 inches to the right of you…. commonly shared entrances, parking problems, their kids constantly knocking on your door or screaming in YOUR hallway… their pets pooping in YOUR hallway…when one neighbor is fighting with his wife–EVERYONE hears it…. NO peace and quiet…. constant noises from UP or down stairs neighbors. Maybe no pets if you want them. Maintained parking lot.
HOUSE—a yard you can call “your own”… noone living under you, over you or through a wall to the left or right of you. No kids pooping on your doorstep, quieter, more private,. Your OWN DRIVEWAY, neighbor fighting with his wife…. you don’t have to hear it…. you may have to shovel your driveway in the winter but SO WHAT…. your kids have a front AND a back yard to play in…. sometimes it’s pre-fenced… MOST times your neighbors are friendlier….. I had apartments–I now have a house.. wouldn’t give up the house for ANYTHING
