Catcanscratch: Did any of you “Fall in love” with your pet??
I am getting the CUTEST kitten in the world now!!! With my other cat I KNEW I had to bring her home the minute I saw her!!! Has anyone else experienced this??? What pet did you experience this with??
I really consider my pets part of the family…..They love me more than some of my family.

We have just got 2 rats. I is a Siamese and called Franky. I love him and did the minute I set eyes on him. The other is Benny and he is jet black. My daughter loves him. I think he is cute.

Yes, it’s quite natural to be besotted with a pet. My cat is the love of my life, and I am quite jealous that she’s been visiting our neighbor.

Heck, I’ve loved every pet I’ve had. My fiancee and I broke up recently, and one of the hardest things was that she took our ferrets and dogs with her.

I always had animals growning up, both cats and dogs and I love them all dearly. But yesterday, I brought home my new aussie pup and he is the love of my life now. He’s the first puppy that is just mine, I’ve done all the research and reading getting ready for him. I saw him for the first time when he was 5 days old and then every two weeks til I was able to bring him home. He truly is my first baby. So I totally understand how you’re feeling.

Yes. I had to pick a pup out of 5 doggies. It was hard until I saw one leave the playing group, and crawl under a table to fall asleep. I knew he was the one for me!

I think ‘falling in love’ with your pet is the wrong phrase. Falling in love with someone means you want to engage in physical contact and you think about them 24/7.
I know what you mean though – I love my dog more than anything else in the world and we have such a close bond.

I have fallen in love with many animals over my lifetime. But I can’t limit it just to one animal! All of my animals are the loves of my life. No bond has been better than the bond between my animals and me.
