How do I delete my facebook acount?

I want to delete my facebook acount. If i PERMENTLY delete my facebook acount can I use the same email adress to make a new one later on If i decide i want one? (I want to delete it becuase i just want to add my close friends so i dont get alot of info i dont want from people so i AM going to make a new acount)

Your best bet is to just un-friend the people you don’t want and start over from there. Deleting it just gets complicated. However, I’m not sure if they allow you to use the same email address again. I know for a fact though that they require you to use a mobile phone number to verify your account when creating it. So, if you’ve only got one number and you already used it, you won’t be able to use it again.

If you want to permanently delete your account go to the arrow for the options click account setting, then security. This should go to a screen where at the bottom you click deactivate your account.

You cannot permanetly delete a facebook, you can only deactivate it, and no you cannot use the same email address for another account.

As 14 days after you permanently delete your Facebook account all your stuff will be gone with no chance of recovery, there should be no reason for you to not to be able to use the same e-mail.

Facebook doesn’t allow you to permanently delete your account. You can only disable it. Which means later on you can react it, but it’ll be the same account same friends etc… So i’m pretty sure, you can’t use the same email if you have a deactivated account, since to facebook it still some what exists. But i’m not sure you can try, theirs no harm in trying. & if it doesn’t work then you can always make a new email address, or just delete all the people you don’t want on your friends list. Which takes quiet awhile.

u can only deactivate it which isnt deleting becuz its just gone untill u log back in so there is not way to delete it for good

you cant, you can disable your account but it has enable function son your information will be invisible but it will stay on facebook database

This link will allow you to permanently delete your Facebook account.
But your profile is not deleted right away even though it seems that way! You must NOT log in to, or interact in any other way with Facebook for at least two weeks (i.e. 14 days), as this will cancel the deletion request. That includes NOT logging in to Facebook using any client (like the iPhone/Android app or IM:s like Pidgin), NOT clicking embedded Like-buttons on other websites, NOT logging in to other services using Facebook Connect (like Spotify, Digg) etc etc.
