it would depend wich style your doing…
You would hopefully lose a lot of calories. But it really depends on the style. If your going hip hop, ballet, or jazz, then you definetly are going to lose a lot of calories Dance is a very tiring sport and it is most definetly a great exersise! If you are not in shape here are some tips:
1. I know when I say eating right is an utterly helpful tip to weight loss, you go “Oh ya ya, bla bla eating healthy. No matter what, I know I won’t stop eating the way I am now.” But actually this is a very big part of weight loss. Maybe plan how you will eat. Don’t get to much lunch at school, and go lower on the junk, sweets, and all of those calories.
2. Exersise! You will burn so many calories by doing this: dance is a great way to exersie. Make up your own dance to a song, or maybe wing it by just doing your own moves to your favorite song. You could also run around your house. Oh and try doing this: skip, trot, those kind of stuff help too. But make sure, if you don’t stretch before you exersise, let me just say. Good luck. Oh and also take a few deep breaths before exersising. It won’t make you as tired while exersing.
3. Take my advice! And dancing will burn sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many calories. I tried it. After I danced, I lost like 2 pounds. Doesn’t sound very much but it is.
Answer by BlueBunnyIt matters the dance style. I know if I do a quick dance (swing, club?) after 30 minutes it is very tiring and great exercise.
If you are wanting to loose weight then you have to change your lifestyle. I mean, exercising is great and you should keep that up(or start, whichever), but remember to eat healthy and regularly.
I love pilates. It builds your muscle and I actually think it is fun. You can youtube pilates moves and you find a whole bunch.
Joining a pick up sport is also fun and non-competitive.Answer by Ms. Unconditional
I have found that I have problems with my weight especially me being a dancer. Dancing alone does not take off your weight. You have to really commit to eating right, not eating after 7 pm. when i say not eating i mean like a heavy meal. lol. but it takes a lot of commitment in eating right. for example chicken with no skin, no white rice, im a jamaican so u can get my drift about eating right.
