b: What is the best ballet company to audition for?
I am only going into 8th grade now, but my dance teacher says I should be good enough to audition for a professional company by the time I’m 14 or 15. She also says, because of my body type, I should go overseas to the Paris Opera Ballet or The Royal Ballet. I really do not think I would like NYC Ballet or ABT. I can dance Balanchine, but I look best with the more classical technique. I want to go to Europe, but isn’t in extremely unlikely for them to accept an American?

ABT and New York City Ballet.
I think that ABT would be one of the best, although I know Bolshoi theatre in Russia is world famous as well as the Paris Opera Ballet.
I personally think I would like the Royal Ballet in England, but that’s just my preference.
I went to the National Ballet School of Canada and it was phenomenal itself!!! Good luck with your dancing!!
Answer by Marnie!Russia has the best ballerinas, so I’m assuming they also have the best ballet companies. Try finding one there. Good luckAnswer by bananafanafofanni
Well, if you’re gonna be an American ballet dancer, then ABT ( American Ballet Theatre ) is the best. Followed by New York City Ballet Compay, The Joffrey Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet.Answer by Butterbing
Honey, you must attend their ballet schools and be taught in their repertoire and style of dance, if you wish to be in their company. That is how it is done. A lot of my friends from America are dancing in European companies. If you are interested in a specific company like The Royal ballet, audition for their school. The don’t usually take on apprentices until they are 17. Your teacher is wrong about the age. Maybe she is referring to auditioning for their school at your age. Unless you have been in an established company, nobody hires anyone without them first being an apprentice with the company in order to learn the repertoire and dance style that is unique to each company.
