I didn’t know you could adopt hamsters. Is that kinda like what they did in Stewart Little? Because I thought that was fictitious.
If you really want a hamster. Well, you have to listen to your parents if they tell you to trow the trash away or clean your room and do some house cleaning that could be a first start. They might see that you are being a nice young man. And you first have to tell your dad why doesn’t he want a hamster? And after you have tried to to do some cleaning beign organized you could try and tell your dad. Dad how well I have been so far? Nice or noughty? If thet say you been good then its the chance to tell your dad. Now that I been good can I have a Hamnster. That you will put it on a cage and feed and take good resposabilty for it. Hopes this works for you.Answer by Madison Maxwell
Just tell him that hes not gonna be the one to take care of it, u are so he dosent have to worry about it and just because he dosent like small animals dosent mean u shouldnt be able to have oneAnswer by Figurative 1
well start to do more around the house show him that your are responsible and good at keeping up a routine make sure to get good grades help him out more often and what ever you do don’t beg or sneek it in the house and get him used to the idea and promise him that the hamster will not get loose in the house ever keep it in your room and keep it clean so it does not smellAnswer by wat you lokin at
Just tell him that he will stay in your cage and its just a hamster it cant hurt himAnswer by Clarissa
They can be messy, and they can smell bad in certain circumstances, mostly due to neglect. If you clean their cage weekly and take out the wet spots every day, their cage won’t smell bad. It’s not going to bad enough to be able to smell it from across a room. If you’re concerned about them being messy, make sure to get a cage with a high base because they do love kicking out bedding. Just take good care of them, hamsters love to escape.Hamsters are nocturnal. Make sure you know everything about hamsters, however, and help out around the house so to prove that you have a lot of extra time to use.
Tell your father that he won’t be sure what a hamster is like until he knows all about them, and then tell him all there is to know. If he still isn’t budging maybe just tell him to think about it.
P.S Don’t get them one of those exercise balls, it can damage their backs.
GOOD LUCK
Answer by Dangerous1) detecation start doing chores around the house without parents asking you to wash dishes take out the trash things normal teens wouldnt want to do
2. keep reminding them ask for an allowence and save up (dont keep asking for it tell a sibling to hold it or another adult)
3. Tell them that you are saving up for something tell them it is a hamster and challenge them that you could be responsible
4. as you get more money go to the pet store and ask amount for a cage room for the hamster to roam around a ball to keep the hamster in to go around the house and a years worth of food.
5. When you get enough show your parents that you have enough show them the research a.k.a the prices and promise that you will be responsible show them that you are responsible and tell them that any other teen would have blown off all of their money This will show responsibility.
6. this won’t happen over night it could take 6 weeks to 3 months so be pateint
`never tell them you will start doing something this will tell them you will do it until you get the hamster then its over just start doing it and if they ask why tell them they do alot for you`Answer by Rundfam Rund
I LOVE Hamsters! Here’s my advice, Tell your Dad Hamsters are COMPLETELY different from Mice in attitude and temperament, Most hamsters as sweet as they can be and I fully suggest the Syrian Hamsters, They are great for kids and family’s and calm and sweet as well as great for first time Hamster owners, Stay away from Dwarfs though, They are most always a MEAN Hamster. To covince your Dad, tell him you can pay for the Cage, food, water bottle, food bowl, bedding, treats and toys for , This gets kind of expensive, but you will need to keep your promise. Tell your Dad That they are a great sarter pet and require a lot of resposibility, which is really good for pet owners fo there parents can trust them with bigger animnals. In truth hamsters are a GREAT pet and Some love to b e around you and some like to rome free and I like attention every once in a while. My Mom is afraid of mice and has LOVED every hamster I bring home. I love them so much I have had atleast 10 of them! My Dad has loved them all too and maybe your Dad will be the same. I hope this helped you, and I hope you get a hamster. 🙂Answer by kikarose021
show him that you are responsible and that you can handle things on your own. it worked on my mom lol.Answer by Jake
I had the same problem. I set up a deal with them – for example, I don’t like sports and hate participating in them. So I do some basketball – BOOM! He was so happy he even bought the stuff himself. Try something that your dad wants you to do that you hate doing and make sure he knows you will take care of your hamster and if he dislikes rodents then just keep in in your bedroom, he’ll never have to smell it or see it.
And Clarissa the exercise ball doesn’t hurt their backs as long as you get the right size, they’re actually highly recommended and make your hamster happier and give them more exercise.
