: How to connect router with laptop without using a desktop?
I have a laptop only and no desktop. My modem is connected to my laptop and that’s how I connect to the internet. Is there a way I can setup a router to my laptop without using a desktop and also being wireless. So basically connect the router to the modem and not have any wires on the laptop. It should be working with wireless only.

You need to buy a wireless router. then connect the modem to the wireless router and you should be able to get wifi to the laptop. no desktop is needed.
Turn off everything. Plug the modem into the router, and the router into the laptop. Use the laptop to configure the wireless features of the router. Unplug the router from the laptop and use it wirelessly.
