If you are in the US, you will still need a teaching credential from the state to teach in a public school.
it is a requirement to be a high school teacher who teaches computer science for you to have a BA degree in computer science, then for getting a teaching license for secondary teaching from the state where you live. You may need up to five courses in teacher education. However, those requirements vary from state to state. To make sure this is right, call the Department of Education in your state and ask someone in that office. Good luckAnswer by Alex Lapins
Yes you can be a good computer science teacher if you have done your bachelors in computer science and feel that you have that ability to teach others.Answer by Joseph Woods
Although bachelor degree is a pre-requisite but the degree definitely does not mean that you can be good teacher. You know best about yourself so think carefully and take a final decision.Answer by Brad Cashman
It is true. Sometimes very intelligent people with good academic back ground fail to be a good teachers. A bachelor degree is required for a computer teachers but I would advise you to study further.
