Jay: How old do you have to be to work in a cinema?
The legal working age in South Australia is 14 and 9 months.
Do you have to be older to work in a cinema to check IDs for MA15 and R movies?

I don’t think so. My brother worked a movie theater before he was old enough to see some of them. Just call your local cinema and ask them.Answer by ToodlePip
In the UK, you have to be above the working age, but you are restricted in what you can do. You can’t work in projection until you’re 18, because the projectionist sees a lot of the films, and also has to operate machinery.
You probably can work in the kiosk, selling tickets and sweets, but in my experience if you are about 15, the cinema will give you cleaning duties or ticket checking on the doors.
Your best bet if you’re looking for work, is to just ring around cinema chains, and see if they make you an offer.
