I would like to obtain some feedback about exactly what it is that attracts you to take your credit card out and book a particular accommodation online for your vacations ?

The location is important. I don’t want to spend all my time on the subway when I’m on vacation. But the ratings of other travelers are just as important. I don’t really give much credit to all those travelers who are totally satisfied, though.

If you book a hotel in a certain price range, it’s just not very likely that there are no drawbacks. So I pay close attention to what other travelers complain about.
Old furniture, a stain on the rug, an old-fashioned TV set: That’s my hotel. 🙂
Noise from the street, from a night club or from the other rooms, strong smell of smoke, unfriendly/rude staff: No thanks 🙁

And I also listen to my feelings. When I booked my B&B accomodation for Oslo, I just saw the photo of the house and knew that this was the right place. And it definitely was – friendly people, great location, affordable price.

The cost (and what is offered: is breakfast included etc) and the location (near centre of town etc…or the airport, depending)
