It’s not science because they don’t use the scientific method. They start with the Bible and look for evidence to support it rather than asking a question, researching, etc. So how should we categorize creation science literature?

I would simply point to the flaws in their methodology that you have mentioned and refer to that as “junk science”. If it does not follow the scientific method, it is not science and the phrase “junk science” is actually being kind. I try not to be mean about the beliefs of others so long as they’re not behaving badly because of those beliefs or forcing them on others, but I will not acknowledge something that is clearly not following the scientific method as actual science.

And no, I’m not an atheist. I am, however, educated.

Creation science is an oxymoron. The debate between creation and evolution is over. Ask any scientist, including Catholic and Islamic doctors, and they will tell you creationism is a myth. It is a fairy tale that is NOT up for discussion.

-So the answer is simple. The book of Genesis belongs right next to Asops fables and The Lord of the Rings in a library with all the other fictional tales..

(Macro) Evolution does not use the scientific method (observable, testable, repeatable) either……therefore it is NOT science……it is PURE SPECULATION……..by FAITH……wait a minute, isn’t that the definition of RELIGION?

1.) It’s not science because they don’t use the scientific method – NOBODY uses the scientific method anymore. Most research grants are given to researchers that fit their data to their hypothesis because their success depends on how often their hypotheses are right. Look up “Big Science”.

2.) They start with the Bible and look for evidence to support it – Apologetics by definition.
