: What would be some good careers?
I’m a senior in high school and I’m in the process of applying to colleges (Northeastern, Boston University, Ithaca College, University at Buffalo), but I have no idea what I want to do. I absolutely love Spanish and languages in general, and I love working with kids, but I don’t want to be a teacher. I just haven’t been able to find anything that catches my eye. My ideal job would be based out of the United States (preferably the Northeast), would be based primarily on other languages and cultures, would allow me to make relatively frequent trips to South America (as part of my work) to help out, and would pay pretty well (I would like to have a house in Colombia because my boyfriend lives there). I know it’s a lot to ask for, but does anyone have a job in mind that would be somewhat similar? Thanks!

boston and colombia
Well i love working with kids so I am going to be a pediatrician You should go to Columbia for that. Speaking spanish would come in handy in case you have a patient who only speaks spanish. Good luck!Answer by CoutureAdvisor
Check out the Peace Corp for a year and figure out what you want to do, then pick your major and college accordingly!Answer by Lisa
The Peace Corps answer was a good one.
A career as a dental hygienist might be interesting. Mine used to travel to other countries to help out there at least once a year. Knowing spanish might come in handy. It pays well and the job outlook is great.
Travel nursing might also be an interesting career to look into.
