hi: Can you start playing guitar with an electric guitar?
I wanna learn guitar but on an electric guitar not an acoustic. Or do you have to start with a diffrent guitar?

No you can start with an electric guitar and its way easier to play than an accoustic.

It’s probably a little easier to learn on the electric. The neck is faster and easier to work with, and your fingers won’t be destroyed as badly at first since the strings aren’t coated with bronze like on acoustic guitars.
I play both so it’s whatever, but acoustic fits my style a little more. Hey, if you like both, you can get a semi-hollow electric. It’s the best of both worlds haha.

you can and should start w/ whatever you want to play in the end, you will be able to play electric and acoustic no matter what you learn to play on, i recommend getting the ebook from

Answer by John Leyo 1Yes, you can do it. Don’t listen to anybody who says that you can start only on an acoustic, because it is not true. You can start on any of them!
