Dan: Can I find accommodation whilst out in thailand?
Hi Everyone 🙂
Im looking to go traveling around thailand for 1 month in november.Have heard too many great things about it! I don’t want to book my accommodation in advance. I think winging it will add to the excitement but obviously I have my concerns. Getting to the point now.
How easy will it be for me to find accommodation whilst out in thailand and will it be cheaper? (mainly Bankok and phuket).
Thank you for your answers x.

on the lowest of the low end, guesthouses will likely be the same price, hotels are cheaper to book through the internet – try agoda or latestays

No you can’t. If you haven’t booked at least a year in advance they won’t allow you to stay there.Answer by leonard h
If you book in advance you’ll possibly pay more, and you don’t know what you will get. Finding a place then and there is the way I always go. In Thailand it’s perfectly fine with all establishments if you look at a room before deciding, and there will be no ill feelings if you decline at first to have a look at other options. As well, on occasion you can negotiate a lower price if you plan on staying for several days. It’s part of the adventure, as you intimated, to find a place when you need a place.
If you’re into high-end accommodations, however, booking online via the respective hotel’s website, or with websites like Agoda.com, could save you some money. If you don’t mind basic but clean, the only way is to just find a place to flop when you’re there.
