Can a 13 year old start gymnastics this late?

Nevadison: Can a 13 year old start gymnastics this late?
I am 13 and want to be in gymnastics but never been in it before.I can’t do the splits or even a cartwheel! Am I too old to begin gymnastics for the first time? Because I see seven years olds
who can do a quadrillion backs flips and handstands and everything else.

Of course, you will just have to take a beginner class and work very hard if you want to be at the same level of those other girls. That really doesn’t matter though as long as you are doing it to have fun!! Work hard and you can be even better than them! All you have to do is put your mind to it. Go for it!!

Just like the above answer said, of course you can still do it. It’s not like you’re 40 years old and want to be a gymnast, you can do it just fine. If that’s what you want to do then make sure you do it.
