blab: How do you pump 2 breasts at the same time?
I have an electric pump and I am trying to figure out how to use it. It can pump 2 breasts at the same time, but I am having trouble doing this because I can’t hold both breast shields on my breasts and turn on the machine at the same time. I am using the electric Medela double-pump. This is probably a very stupid question. Is anyone familiar with this or have any tips? Thank you!

You place the cups on your breasts and use your arm to hold them both in place while you turn on the machine.
I am not sure you can! Ask your husband to hold one.Answer by Nicola D

I hold one bottle with one hand and the other one I put it by my elbow crease and use the empty hand to turn on the pump! I also use a pumping bra https://www.selfexpressions.com/eaexbuhafrpu.html
Good Luck, you will need it LOL!
Answer by anonCross one arm over your chest, grasping the shield furthest from that arm. The part of your forearm by your elbow will press the other shield to your breast. Use your free arm to start and adjust the pump. Then bring it back to hold the shield and let go of it with the hand that had been holding it. Not letting up pressure, slide your hand to hold the shield that your elbow was holding. Practice until you get it–really should take only about a couple seconds. I actually had to think about what I did, after a while it comes naturally. There is also a product made to hold the shields to your breasts.Answer by Vicki C
Turn the machine on first and then put the cups on your breast. That’s what I did! Eventually you will be able to hold both with your arm so you can have an arm free but it takes practice. Good luck!
