Kayla K: BALLET ?
is ballet a real sport. i know its a common question but ballet has all the same details as any other sport so whats your opinion!!!

ballet isnt a sport, it definatly requires athleticism, but its an art form. i suppose because of the competitions and such people do classify it as a sport, but you don’t do ballet to “win”, its because its truly breathtaking to watch:)
I am a ballet dancer and in my opinion, which may or may not be biased, ballet is definetly a sport. It is a graceful art and is probably one of the hardest’s “sports” out there.
I mean look at Judo, it’s in the Olympics! For goodness’ sake! It’s self defence!!! I don’t see why ballet isn’t considered when it should be. The strength, not only physically but mentally, for ballet is hugely vast.

uhh im a dancer. and i think that ballet is the hardest thing anyone could ever do.
its probably harder than any “field game”.
ballet takes a lot of dedication, hard work, and time to become good at it.

your absolutely right!! its hard to determine the difference because of all of the time and effort that is put into it. So i concluded this: Ballet is an art with the same amount of (if not more) intensity of a sport.
