At what age do teenagers start to wise up?

David Landford: At what age do teenagers start to wise up?
At school/other social gatherings everything I say has to be pre thought of. If I say anything that could have a sexual meaning to it I get insulted and sarcastic remarks. I was wondering at what age do teenagers usually stop doing this; if at all?

There’s not really an age. It depends on the teenager.

I’d say, 18.

I stopped at 14. With most that i’ve met, it’s around 16, 17.

What ignorance, not all teenagers live up to stereotypes and generalisations. I wouldn’t have had been so arrogant in this reply, if you had of formatted your “question” better. I found this to be of complete disrespect, and you basically stated that all teenagers are the same, with the same self less sexual control. What is that makes adults automatically “wiser, smarter and intelligent” about everything and life? Age has nothing to do with it, a damn child genius doesn’t need the years of experience to tell a 50 year old alcoholic on what he is doing wrong with his life and what advice should be given. It is all to do with an INDIVIDUALS ability to “wise up”, not ALL teenagers.

17ish?

That’s a trick question.
By the time people wise up, they aren’t teenagers anymore.

Answer by Funky_Monkey
hmm i would say 17 .. speaking from experience with myself and SOME of my friends:P
but everyone is different, some are still in the teenager mind at 40:P , so it depends 🙂

Answer by Nuggy 🙂
Depends on the teenager. But it tends to happen with most girls before they graduate. As for boys (no offense) they are at least 25 (but this doesnt apply to every boy or girl though).

Answer by Julie♥
Depends on the teen. I wised up at 15 while others are still trying to. I’m 18 by the way.
