angelzwhim: Am looking for a “recipe” to make liquid soap from leftover bar soap / bar soap chips.?
This was a “cooked” recipe – but can’t for the life of me remenber all that was in it or how it was done. I saw this (I believe) in a “Dear Heloise” column.

Here are instructions. It doesn’t involve any cooking, just hot water

2 CUPS GRATED BAR SOAP
1/2 GALLON WATER
2 TBSP GLYCERIN

Mix ingredients together in a large pot. Set over low heat stirring occasionally until soap is dissolved. Put in a jar and cover tightly. More water can be added for thinner soap.
