A spanish question-?

jfor_2: A spanish question-?
I need to know how to write, “I look forward to us cooking together, and experimenting with new recipes.” in spanish. Or something close to that. I’m buying my mother-in-law a cook book (because we’re both into cooking) and I want to write that inside. Can someone please help! I can write something else, I just want it to be written in spanish because she understands spanish better, and I think it’s a great idea.
Sorry, “Mother-in-law to be”. And I can’t ask my fiance because I don’t want him to know.
Why does recetas always come up in english “prescriptions”?

Ask your husband.
Okay sorry.
Perdoneme, mi espanol no es bueno, but my boyfriend said to put this:
Espero cocinar con usted y experimentemos con nuevas recetas
It means I hope to cook with you and experiment with new recipes.
There is really no direct translation for what you want to say because sentence structure is different in Spanish. But I hope that helps. Get your MIL or fiance to teach you Spanish. I know from experience that it sucks not being able to communicate with you in-laws, that’s why I’m learning now.

Espero que podamos cocinar juntos y experimentemos nuevas recetas.
RECETA means recipe and prescripción… The meaning depends on the context. Get a good bilingual dictionary.
Good luck! Hope your gift helps you bond with your mother-in-law to be.
