He wouldn’t mind if I got it for him but I ain’t using my credit card to do that.

He’s going to have to pay for the score and that means a credit or debit card to purchase it online. Maybe he can request his free credit report and score via regular mail and include a check for the score costs.

However, if his credit is so bad, what difference does the actual score make? He should be more concerned with what is on the report and how to clear up the negatives.

Have your friend go to “annualcreditreport.com. That is a Federal agency. He will be charged for it. the feds figured out that they can make money on the “score”.That is the same place he can get his “FREE” credit report with out the “score” all the BS.There is also a toll free number to get it by mail. The number is 877 322 8228.Lots of luck.

To get a score you have to pay for it. Even if he calls the credit bureaus directly and requests his report. The reports are free but the scores cost money.

I’ve got one company that will give him a free report and score, but you’ve got to sign up for a service. They all do that.

On my site: – I offer multiple credit reporting companies. They are all good, but they don’t make money by giving stuff away, so obviously they will want you to sign up for a service.

If he has a bank account he may be able to use his debit card or something. Then before the 30 day trial is up call the 800 number and cancel the services they offer.

If he’s got bad credit I don’t blame you for not wanting to use your credit card. Then you will have to rely on him to cancel the services offered by the credit reporting company. And if he’s a procrastinator you’ll find yourself out $ 15 to $ 30 if he doesn’t cancel before the deadline.

This is an area I wouldn’t get involved in if I were you. Money and friends don’t mix. Besides if he wants to know, make him pay for it and/or do his own damn homework. His laziness is probably why is has poor credit.
