Chloe: How come when I try to make “YAHOO” my homepage, evertime I go on my computer it automatically goes to GOOGLE?
It’s very annoying! I never had this problem before. I end up having to do a “yahoo search” on google (which I hate) and then resetting my homepage to yahoo. There is this PC Anti-spyware 2010 thing that keeps trying to download but I won’t allow it because I already have Anti-spyware. Could this be causing this problem? I have a Dell computer but they claim my warranty only covers “hardware” and this is a “software” problem so I have to pay. What a scam! Any help you can give, thanks! I’m getting frustrated.

It sounds as if you have a hijack virus. Download Avira or AVG (there are free versions of each) and run a full scan.

I have to ask the obvious. When you change the default page, are you clicking “Apply”? Also, how are you setting the default? Are you on yahoo & clicking “Use Current” or are you typing in https://www.yahoo.com? Which ever way you are doing it, try the other one. Also, try the “Use blank page” option or another page like espn.com & see if that works or if Google is deleting every default.Answer by Anatol Kuragin

to set yahoo as homepage, click on the down pointing arrow next to the house icon (homepage) at the top of the screen. a drop down menu that says add or change home page appears that will allow you to change your homepage. type in yahoo.com there.
as to the pc anti-spyware 2010, click on start, control panel, programs. under default programs click on stop a program from running at startup. see if pc anti-spyware 2010 is listed there. if it is click on it then click on either disable or remove. that should stop it from running.
i’m using windows vista home.
