LAW: Would playing Rugby in college be a good way to prepare myself physically for a career in law enforcement?
I know that being physically fit is an essential part of law enforcement. At least if you want to be safer. I’m entering college next year. So I’m applying now to the college I want and they have women’s rugby. It just seems like something really fun to do and it seems like it’s going to be something that will keep me fit and strong.
What are some recommendations anyone has for getting fit?

A program that is endorsed by many police and fire organizations is Crossfit. Google it. They have a free website that give daily workouts, video clips of how to properly perform exercises, and a listing of places to go to get nationally certified, if you want to go that route. It uses only limited weights, relying more on body resistance and aerobic exercise. A lot of people in my department use it.Answer by James
No and yes. No because in Police Academy they will focus on running , strenght , and agility sure rugby can help but consider running plenty of miles a day as fast as you can do push the right way . Do 200 Curl Up’s and etc. because thats what your going to do.
