mysterygirl: Why was my post, “Is it ok for Christians to get breast implants?” deemed a violation?
How is this post in violation of Yahoo rules?
Here are the original details:
My beautiful model girlfriend goes to church every Sunday and calls herself a Christian yet she got breast implants and jumps from one relationship to another. I’m sure she’s slept with them too. How does God feel about fake boobs?
I am wondering if it’s because some girl called me retarded so I called her retarded right back….
Most of the answers were thought provoking and intelligent. I am truly shocked that it was taken down. So much for free speech!

I don’t see a violation of rules. The question seems reasonable enough.
Some christian went crying to the yahoo police, that is why. I got a violation yesterday for asking “How old are you” That was it!Answer by jjjjjjjjj
I saw the post and while I thought it was a strange question I didn’t see anything wrong with it. However, someone was bound to find offense because they wished to find it. And Yahoo doesn’t bother to judge on these things most of the time, seeming to be of the mind that if someone found it offensive enough to report it, then it must be offensive.Answer by Jumpin Jiminey!
That probably was the reason,Dear!
Rest assured though,YOU are not the retarted one & no,it is not right for christians to get boob jobs or bed hop!Answer by Sarah
Try not to take it personal–there are so many conservative and close-minded people who post on this site, and everything seems to offend them.
I see nothing wrong with your question, and personally, I firmly believe that any woman has as right (regaurdless of her faith) to get breast implants if she wishes to do so. One of my best friends had breast augmentation 3 years ago, and is now a small C-cup (from a AA, which she was very, very self consious about). You could never tell they’re not real.
When people hear the word ‘breast implants’, the steriotypical
‘porn star with huge boobs’ image somes to mind. In the real world, 90% of women get very modest sized implants to fit their body and be proportional.
maybe someone thought it was offensive…i dont know as for your question…i dont know how god feels about fake boobsAnswer by Beetle Becca
1) You are right, it is absurd that they took down your question. Although I do not agree with your view, you are entitled to think the way you want, and I enjoy a nice debate/discussion every now and then. Perhaps it got taken down because Christians w/ implants were offended, or because some prude was offended at the mention of the word “implant”. But yes it is retarded.
2) Hmmm that girl you describe could easily be me. Or my ex-guy friend Ed, who is Christian but sleeps around and gets tattoos. Just because your friend sins in one way(lust/promiscuity) doesn’t mean that she sins in all ways. By attending church and believing, she is doing one big thing right…she is having faith. She can still be a Christian, even if she is a slightly flawed Christian…look at her overall character. For example, is she a nice person, charitable, helps others, has morals? Or, is she an overall hypocrite?
As far as breast implants go…why would implants itself(not looking at the dating part about your friend) be un-Christianlike?? Yes it is an alteration of “what God gave you” appearance-wise, but so are a lot of other things…such as perms, hair dye, tattoos, piercings, gastric bypass surgery, etc. Also look at how she presents her implants. Did she get the implants so that she’ll be able to wear revealing flashy clothes to church that “advertise” the fact she has implants? Or, does she wear conservative clothes to church and reserve the flashy clothing for a dance club or her boyfriend? For example, I know how to dress in ways to flatter my body, but I will wear cardigan sweaters or nice blouses to church…I don’t want people to see cleavage or suspect that I’ve had “alterations.”
