Me: Why is there skin peeling in the inside of my mouth?
I’ve noticed that every so often, I get skin inside my mouth which is peeling away. Sometimes, if I run my finger under my lip and in other areas of my mouth, I find that I get white gooey bits of skin which come off the inside of my mouth. What could be causing this and how can it be treated/ prevented? I do not smoke.

could be your toothpaste or if you rinse with mouth wash that has alcohol it needs to be diluted with water, if not ask your dentist or dental hygenist. does your tongue have a white coating? good luck!Answer by Ashlie
I do know that I was talkin to a friend of mines mother just this week and she was complaining that she couldn’t find the one toothpaste that she wasn’t allergic to in wal-mart anymore….she said their is some chemical in most toothpastes that causes her mouth to peel….much like what yours is doing. Id never heard of it before, but it might be worth looking into. try a new toothpaste or mouthwash and see what happens. Also, have yoy eaten any hot (temperature, not spicy) foods lately? sometimes after I eat something that is too hot the roof of my mouth and the insides of my cheeks will peel, so it could be as simple as that. good luck with it tho!
