ask yourself this question… would you randomly give money to someone you do not know just based on what they write on a piece of paper ?
a little advice here.. never buy anything you can not afford to pay for in cash. Credit may be a good thing but can mushroom into something you will be sorry for quickly.
Answer by L DWhy don’t you start with a department store credit card? They are easy to obtain and will help you build credit until you can get a visa or mastercard. In the meantime you can use a prepaid visa or MC for online purchases.Answer by circus m
At your age it is very hard to get approved but not impossible. You do have a credit score, just not a very high one. Your score is most likely the lowest grade possible. You can try opening a bank account so they can see that you have some funds to manage and try opening a credit card account with your bank if they say you are preapproved for one or wait for an invitation from a credit card company. You can also try getting your parents to add you onto their credit card account to help build your credit score. But do know that you need alot of self control otherwise you will spiral into a big bucket of debt.Answer by SageConstableOdo
You need to start out with what they call a secured card, meaning you have to put a deposit down on the card.
It kinda sucks but that’s where you have to start.
Answer by Da_Gibbtry the student card again and make sure you income is greater than zero.
another option is to talk your parents into adding you to one of their cards unless they have $ %^& for credit rating. of course, it would probably be prudent of you parents to then not let you actual have the card and screw up their rating. but at least you get a good score to start with.

Try Bank of America…my siblings and I got our first cards from them without a problem…and this was after I went to every other company I could think of.
