why is it called “making love”?

sassy fire cracker: why is it called “making love”?
I don’t get it you’re not “making” anything. And it’s just sex it’s not that big a deal. Ppl say making love just to sound all romantic and cheesy.

why do ppl say it there’s no difference between that and sex.

And if there is I guess I prefer to get wasted and have rough sex than “make love”

Well….you’d make a baby…..and you’d love your baby right??? So therefore you do make love ^_^

Answer by Pauly
I don’t know who first used the term “making” but there is a big difference.

Making love has to do with that romantic side of a person that is just so drawn to another person that they want to be around them all the time, and they want to be closer to them anyway they can. This is what we usually refer to as being “in love.”

This experience is very powerful, and very different than just rough physical sex, as there is an emotional and attraction side to it that is very strong. I hope you get to experience it at least one time in your life… hell, I hope I get to experience it at least one time in my life! : )

How old are you?

Making love, and sex are two diferent things. You could have sex with anyone, but making love is much serious than that. You actually have to love someone to make love with them.

Answer by LatinaAngel
Well, sex is supposed to be an expression of love, and a way to show your love in a physical manner. So there’s in love, which is mental/emotional,and making love, which is the physical part.

I personally agree that saying “making love” sounds cheesy to me,but that’s in my personal opinion.

But everyone prefers different things, some people do value sex more and think of it as sacred and do prefer to be “romantic”Everyone is different though

And there is a difference. When you make love, you’re with someone you love, care about and are in love with and who loves, cares about you and is in love with you,and sex can be the same thing, but it’s just a more “romantic” way of saying sex.And it’s sometimes a more appropriate word depending on the setting, like in school or if you have to be “proper”

But in the end,it’s all sexual intercourse

Answer by Ramman
Have you dated someone that you weren’t really feeling. Then you got drunk and had rough sex (you words) then because of it, you see him differently now. He made love to you. He MADE YOU LOVE HIM by making love to you.

Answer by Chantay
skeez there is a difference…one is wam bam thank you ma’am and the other is more passionate and deep…
