Kiersten: Why does the Easter Bunny bring eggs to children on Easter?
My friend and I were talking today at church about why the “Easter bunny” brings eggs to littler children on Easter. Bunnies do not lay eggs. Where did the Easter Bunny story/legend come from?

That… is a very good question.
In Celtic cultures the rabbit was the symbol of rebirth in spring and eggs represented purity. When the Christians were trying to convert people they would adopt the symbols into their own religion. That is why we still have the Easter bunny, eggs, lilies and all the other trappings of pagan religions.Answer by Asshole
So once upon a time there was a scientist. He was the first scientist the world had ever seen. One day during an experiment the scientist spilled some intense nuclear waste on his pet rabbit by accident. His rabbit became a giant egg laying beast. God, of course, hates science. Since the scientist did a bad thing God called him up to heaven and told him he had to make his rabbit poop out eggs for all good little boys and girls as the penance for his sins. So god made him and his egg laying rabbit beast immortal and they have been spreading Easter joy ever since.
And that is why we have Easter
