Alina: Why does our society focus so much on trashy celebs like Paris and Lindsey?
Why can’t we as a society give praise to celebs that are great role models, instead of focusing on drug addicts and alcoholics. Aren’t you tired of the media constantly bringing their names up and telling us about their trashy life. (Getting arrested, going to rehab, getting caught shop lifting) I want to hear about a descent celeb doing something worth while and being a good example for kids. What do you think?

Because of our mindless society that would rather focus on other people’s problems and gossip other than people that make the world a better place.
lindsay lohan is a good actress and singer she has the talents she’s just going through alot just like britney and michael jackson did, THEY QUESTION IS WHY DO WE HAVE TO SEE KIM KARDASHIAN AND HER STINKY TALENTLESS FAMILY EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!Answer by jaclyntheripper
Because we as a society are just getting stupider. It’s unfortunate, but true.
We’ve just stopped caring as much about the important things…Answer by Debra D
Michael Jackson said, “Good news doesn’t sell” and he was right. He visited 1,000 of orphanges and hospitals and gave millions to charity but the tabloids didn’t care. They turned him into Wacko Jacko. I guess my point is the tabloids don’t concentrate on the good things just what will sell. The people who buy that junk are the same people who would be your gossipy neighbor or coworker. They need someone to talk trash about.Answer by MysticForest
For the same reason you don’t see positive stories on the news-society likes to focus on the negative. We can’t get enough of it.Answer by Laredo
Unfortunately celebrities/stars that just take their children to school and go shopping do not sell newspapers and magazines. The media likes all the juicy bits with drugs, sex and violence etc it seems that is what sells newspapers and magazines. It does not make me buy a newspaper/magazine I suppose I am boring and prefer general news but the rest of the population like to read that sort of thing, very sad as it says nothing about our society today.
