ChubbyD: Why does a “detected new hardware” box pop up everytime I turn my laptop on?
I have a Gateway Laptop with Vista Premium 32 bit. Just recently a window/box pops up saying new hardware has been detected and it wants me to confirm installation of the software. I have not added anything to my computer and I never unplug my wireless mouse. I opened the Device manager and checked for new hardware but, nothing shows up new. I always click on the option; do not show this message for this device again but, every time I start the laptop, there it is! Any suggestions?
I actually did do the hardware check in device manager and nothing is showing up. No new hardware, nor error signs etc..
I don’t know if I should just install it and see what happens? I am concerned about hackers and viruses because my brother-in-law had to change all of his personal info and bank account .. I am a little paranoid, I guess.

first u need to install once again all driver one by one , there could be a chance that some bus type of driver not working , but suddenly it cames wake up,,,,,,,so u should try this …or 2nd option is that when ur pop up box comes , u need to check ur driver through internet………online …ok
check windows update history for hardware update, usually if you pull out a flash or external drive
without using safety remove hardware feature then this will show up, you might want to go back to
device manager at the top click view click show all hidden devices uninstall the one that has a error sign beside it if your detect new hardware popup shows unknown device thats where it can be located
