Helen Mc Fadden: Why do some women “fall in love” with mass murders?
When the likes of Ted Bundy were in jail, loads of women he had never met before started sending him “love letters”.
Why the attraction to someone who, given half the chance, would kill you?

i beleive that some woman are turned on by a sense of danger.but you can bet your arse that they wouldnt want to get involved if the murdering b4stard lived next door to them!!
bundy was a charismatic, charming and good looking guy…which is why he was able to con women in the first place..add in that he was famous, and dangerous…he’d make the perfect trophy for a woman with no self esteem.
actually, i’m not sure. it’s a great question.
Answer by HeatherA lot of people get a thrill from what their emotions tell them is a sense of danger, because they thrive on the adrenaline rush. This is why bungee jumping and fairground attractions that shoot you 100 feet into the air, or roller coasters that send you in an upside down loop are so popular. These people don’t have a death wish, so they wouldn’t get into anything that is “really” dangerous, ie what the intelligent part of their brain tells them is dangerous.
Some people see the emotional sense of danger as a sexual thing, so they see themselves involved in a dangerous situation with a dangerous “lover” – knowing it won’t really happen. Even if they see the person in real life, it will be in controlled circumstances where they can get the adrenaline rush, but at the same time still be safe because the perpetrator won’t be able to kill them.

Answer by GwendolynIn the 60’s or 70’s there was a book published called, “Looking for Mister Goodbar,” about a Kindergarten teacher with a death wish who spent her nights barhopping in search of the ultimate bad boy who would be the instrument of her suicide. In my own circle, we would simply answer that they are looking for Mister Goodbar, meaning that they don’t have the guts to kill themselves, but their death wish is intense enough to call them to action.
If you are really curious, I recommend this book. The author did a good job of getting inside the head of these women. It is a pretty sick mentality.
