Fly in the Ointment: Why are Republicans siding against Law enforcement and Military on important issues?
We have heard from Arizona Law Enforcement as well as National organizations of Law enforcement agencies and it is virtually unanimous, they are all against the new law. Republicans however do not stand with the Police or Law Enforcement. They are now siding against Law Enforcement and the Military on Don’t Ask Don’t Tell with our top Commandeers and Chief of Staff all in agreement that Gays should now serve. 75% of the population also agrees. Does it seem these days that Republicans are out for themselves and that is all?

You source for your statement? You need to actually READ the AZ bill and see that it is more stringent that the Federal Law. You need to check your stats on your percentage of who is in favor adn who is against but it’s just another “fly in our ointment” and you can’t come up with the facts!Answer by Jamie

Fly, you want some ‘sats’ on how who wants what? Here ya go:
In a poll conducted by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center, 62 percent of those surveyed nationally supported letting police question anyone they think may be in the United States Illegally and 59 percent said they approved of the Arizona law that takes effect July 29. Most of the Republicans surveyed by Pew said they approved of the law, while 45 percent of Democrats said they approved of the law. https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2010/05/13/Polls-Majority-favor-Arizona-law/UPI-47761273774578/
“Virtually” being the key word here, and no links for back up of your statements, leaves great room for doubt of the authenticity of the statement. And it’s another liberal stretch to connect DADT with illegals. Gimmie a break.

To TheDude, you dont understand sweetheart *pats you on the head* Gays serve in the military but they cant OPENLY serve, it’s called dont ask, dont tell.Answer by Leviathan
Judging by the ridiculous answers you see here, they are either sadly uniformed or they are morons incapable of grasping this. While the people do support the Arizona law, the people also supported Slavery. This is not a popularity contest but what is wrong and what is Right. the Republicans once again show that they have chosen the wrong side. Law Enforcement agencies overwhelmingly object to this law. 75% of the public on the other hand support repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t tell as well as Gates and the top military men in the field. European countries have Gays for years without problems. Why can’t the ignorant and misguided folks on the Right stay out of peoples marriages and sex…they should worry about the vast number of adulterers and other Republican leaders who lack morals and do not practice anything they preach!
