Jim Bob: Who would you call to report a possible scam involving selling timeshare points from RCI?
I got a call where they are offering me $ 1600 for 41,000 points, which is about how many I receive every year. The reason I believe this is a scam is because they want a one time fee of $ 700 for an authorization to rent my property. They have a website, but their business is not listed on the BBB’s wesite. I hate scams and want to see them shut down, but don’t know who to call.

The BBB is not a regulatory agency anyway. You would contact your DA and/or potentially the FBI. https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us
Your description here is lacking, so I can’t even begin to guess to if it’s a scam. Be sure to be very clear as to the reason you think it’s a scam. And be sure you understand what a scam is – it’s not charging someone a property management initiation fee that you feel is too high, unless you dont get what you pay for.
Answer by AndreaI would ask the people on this forum https://www.timeshareforums.com/ they are a very knowledgable group of enthusiasts and will know exactly what the next step should be.
There’s also a new Facebook group on this site that might be useful – atleast to help spread the word and not let scammers win, ‘ya know?
Hope that helps!
