A_total_freak: Who invented the traditional wedding anniversary gifts idea?
For couple’s 1-15 to their 20,25,30,35,40…60,65, and 75th anniversaries, they give each other gifts from paper to tin and silk to gold.
Who made this list and when? And is the same list used world wide?

Evil, greedy, corrupt corporate commercial interests.
Emily Post (October 27, 1872 – September 25, 1960), an American author on etiquette, is credited with creating the traditional wedding anniversary gift list. She originally made a list of symbolic gifts for the first 15 anniversary years and then one for every five years after that. This is the list that is followed all over till today. A modern or contemporary list has now been added alongside the original list to make allowances for the fact that times have changed.
