caseofyou2003: Where can I find books to purchase in bulk for my lending library?
I run a real estate development and we are going to be opening our Activity Center facility in the 6 weeks. My main project at this point is stocking our lending library. I have already purchased fiction and mystery books from our local library book sale. I am especially interested in tracking down high quality children’s and non-fiction books, as well as reference books.

You could try to make deals with a local used bookstore or call around to thrift shops or Goodwill stores to see if they have any book lots.

It’s a wharehouse that is connected to serveral different dealers and sellers. I’ve never had a problem finding any book I have wanted there as well as finding it the cheapest possible.
Since they are connected to so many sellers, this gives you an oppertunity to buy many of the same copies. I’ve purchased books from there for the last 6 years and never once had any problems from them in shipping or the books themselves being as they describe. You can also google “bulk books” and that will generate a few companies that are specific in what they sell…like health books, textbooks and such. But that’s hard to find for fiction and non fiction. You would have to call the distributer up (like Doubleday) and they would give you a discount on what they sell…but the discount isn’t going to be much. Good luck, activity centers are always great 🙂
Answer by horizonseeksYou can try the local stores which sell second-hand books.Believe me,they are simply a treasure-trove.You can also contact your friends, relatives and people who would like to donate books for your project. And there’s always the internet…….Wishing all the best for your venture!
